Cooookies!!! Mmm, cooookies. Good ole Sid Monster, aka Cookie Monster said it best. We all love cookies, it's something we all grow up wanting and enjoying that I think it just sticks with us. So when I get some free time there is nothing better than whipping up a batch. These cookies were a Christmas-y idea and they turned out really well, hence why they are on here! I don't post the failures :)

Now I know that egg nog is a touchy subject. You either love it or you hate it, it's one of those things but this recipe made me a lover of egg nog or at least this certain recipe. When I buy the 'nog at a grocery store I often find it thick and eggy. It's like I'm drinking liquid custard and it's quite gross. So, I came up with my version which is light and soothing. If you don't like egg nog after trying this recipe, well I can't help you there!

Happy New Year! I hope if you had a holiday break that you enjoyed it, I will be back with regular updates very soon but until then this lil recipe should keep us all sane. Cream puffs made from scratch may be a little scary at first thought, but let me assure you right now, the only thing frightening about Cream puffs will be your thighs after you've eaten the whole batch.

Coke. Who doesn't love it? Crazies, that's who or people who enjoy a trim figure. I love me a good ole Coca Cola. There is just something about it that is so satisfying so when Coke started releasing those little mini cans, you know the little chubby ones, I was a little surprised that they were offering a 'healthier' choice. It wasn't really a healthy choice though, it was just less of something that gives you free flab.

I don't know what your Christmas traditions are, but mine usually involve a) Christmas Vacation on DVD, b) opening gifts and c) lots of pumpkin pie! Yes, pumpkin pie is a staple in the ole Armed with a Fork homestead and I hope this recipe will serve you well. It's not mine, it's a Canadian Living recipe that my Grandma has been making for years. I was lucky enough to coax ole Granny to gimme it! And now I share it with you...
